The Moderna Black Plastic Cutlery Set from Restaurantware is a ready-to-use place setting. Each set has a black plastic spoon, fork and knife wrapped in a white napkin and tied with a black ribbon. The sets measure 7 1/4 by 2 by 1 3/4 inches and come in a box of 100.
Why Buy Cutlery Already Wrapped
Instead of wrapping cutlery in napkins by hand before service, operators can buy Moderna sets already assembled: utensils inside, napkin around them, ribbon tied. That makes it simple to set a table, add a set to a takeout bag or fill a buffet basket. Restaurantware's description notes that each set includes a spoon, fork and knife, which makes the sets well suited to meals with several courses.
The napkin does more than look nice. Restaurantware says the wrap lets guests enjoy the food and avoid messes.
Material and Disposal
The utensils are made from high-quality plastic. Restaurantware describes the sets as disposable and recyclable. Because they are disposable, there is nothing to collect, wash or count after an event.
Where the Sets Fit
Restaurantware describes the black ribbon as the finishing touch for a cafe, restaurant, catering event and more, and calls the sets a chic touch for any venue. Black utensils against a white napkin give a clear two-tone look on a table or in a takeout bag.
Other Moderna Combinations
The Moderna collection includes the same wrapped format in other color combinations, so the cutlery can match an event's look:
- Silver plastic cutlery with a white napkin and silver ribbon
- Clear plastic cutlery with a white napkin and polka dot ribbon
- Black, silver and clear cutlery wrapped in a black napkin
For events that do not need a napkin, Moderna also offers unwrapped plastic cutlery sets in 60-count boxes, in black, white, gold and silver, and in two-tone versions with black or white handles.
Restaurantware's description of the black-napkin black set says it is meant for cold foods such as salads and desserts. Check each listing's food-temperature notes before choosing a set for a hot menu.
